25 1/2 weeks Where is the Time going??

My Goodness only 14 1/2 weeks to go!!
This sure is flying by! Soooo.... Updates.....well...
Firstly I'm off work today but returning tomorrow, we have 3 confirmed cases of Swine Flu in our office ( Which is like a battery hen farm :-( 300 of us in one open plan office) I've taken advice from the GP and Government guidelines are not to worry, unless you have had face to face contact with a confirmed sufferer for at least 1 hour.SO I'm back to work tomorrow, and fingers crossed I don't develop a snout! VERY scary, but theres not a thing I can do :-(
Yesterday I was at the hospital, they confirmed my GTT results were fine so I don't have Gestational diabetes, but they did find some protein in my water sample. I'll be contacted when they've analized it, prob just a urinary infection.
Everything with Babba is fine, good strong heartbeat and I'm being kicked to blazes! However this last week I've been suffering with SPD again, which I had when I was pregnant with Ryan. SPD means that the pelvis splits open too much, usually by about 10 cms! and causes pain down the back of my legs, pelvis and lower back. Apart from taking painkillers, and being offered crutches then theres nothing they can do.
C'est la vie! Who said it would be easy!
We're doing well on the equipment front too, now have a lovely cot, moses basket on a rocking stand, baby swing, high chair, travel system, baby box, change mat, all bedding, blankets and have just started on some bodysuits and babygrows. Still to scared to buy pink and all is neutral or white so far!
Will wait until I get confirmation of the gender, hopefully, at my 34 week scan before I delve into colours!
All is well at home and with Ryan, he is getting really excited about the baby and he's doing very very well in school. He got his school report on Friday, and every single subject he was marked "Outstanding" so we were proud as punch! Took him out for dinner to celebrate the report and bought him a few gifts :-) We are so blessed to have such a good boy!
And so thats it! Just plodding slowly on!
Hope all my friends in Blogland are very well, and apologies for not keeping my blog up to date all the time :-(
Love to you all

24 weeks "V" day!!

So here we are at 24 weeks! Yipee! That means baby is now called a "baby" officially and also is now "Viable" which means the chances of survival if born now have increased significantly :-) Woo hoo! Its flying by!I'm Really happy that, so far, since that first day in February when the blue line showed on the test, I have gained 2lbs!! Yes! Just 2lbs!! I'm such a good girl! Quite a few of my "Bump buddies" due around the same week have already gained 1 1/2 stone - 3 stone! So I feel I'm doing great! The heat hasn't been pleasant at all, However I'm saying a huge thankyou to whoever it was that invented ceiling fans! Been my saviour this last week! All is plodding along normally, feeling tonz of movement and proper kicks all day and night now, Mum felt the kicks on Friday which was a special moment :-) This week I have my Gluecose Tolerence Test, to test for Gestational Diabetes, involves blood tests and a 3 hour wait between tests :-( Good job I have a good book ready!

Yesterday we took a trip out to Otterspool Promenade and Park which was lovely. We took a picnic and the Cricket set, YES folks I do look like a whale, but that didn't stop me playing cricket and scoring runs ( Should that be waddles?!) we had tonz of fun in the sun, however when we hit the newly built "outdoor gym" in the park the Thunder clouds gathered and decided to dump their contents on us! Its still warm here, but its' been raining heavily all day today, such a shame.Good for the plants though!
