New look Blog!

Today I gave my Blog a makeover! Lets face it it needed one!! I'm not very good when it comes to all things computer so amazed myself that I actually managed to do it! ( OK there were only 4 steps to follow!)
I've been looking at a blog posted on krystals' blogspot, about Crockpot cooking ( Thats using a slowcooker to those in the UK!). This immediatly sparked my interest for 2 reasons,
1) Cooking = Food!!!
2) One of my close friends in work, Alison, ( Krys-she took Flat Stanley overnight when Alli sent him over)swears by her slow cooker and has been singing its' praises for a long time now, I keep saying I'll get one, then Gill in work got one and is always going on about how fab they are, I guess I'm off to the shops tomorrow to start pricing them :-) I want in on this phenomenon!
Ryan tickled me today, when he was telling me about his day in school, he mentioned they had been studying historical figures, Florence Nightingale to be exact, he said to me
" She lived 140 years ago, did you know her Mum??" Well cheers baby!!!!!!!! hmpf!!
Out of the mouths of babes huh!!

It was warm and sunny today so Ryan played out on his bike with his friend Liam, doing "Skids" they were, I wasn't too happy about this, but boys will be boys!!
We had a fuss when we called him in for his shower though! Wanted to stay out all night! Tinker!

We had a fabulous day with Leah Chloe and Mark!!! Leah loves Ryan to bits!!!!!!!!!!She was glued to him the whole time, whatever he did, said, ate or drank, she would copy!!!

Oh my goodness I have been so tired today!!!

Last night I swear I nearly had a heart attack! This is how is went!

11.45pm - Bed, for a nice peaceful nights' sleep!

12.05am - Ryan woke up crying, settled him back down after his bad dream

12.25am - bed

1.13am - woken up by Ry opening his door and making to go downstairs saying" I'm getting the stripes" he was sleepwalking! He was nearly getting stripes across his backside waking me up all the time! Settled him back down.

1.40am - bed

2.33am - Heard the door handle in the kitchen downstairs, well I was frozen on the spot, I swear my heart beat so hard it near bounced out my chest. It was Frank, they'd been allowed to finish work early as they had completed all the on hand work.

2.55am - bed

4.27am - Ryan comes into our room sleepwalking again!! I give in!!!! Let Ryan get in bed with Frank and got in Ryans bed myself!!

4.40am - bed


5.30am - Alarm, wakey wakey rise and shine!!! GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

I got in from work about 1.30pm ish and had a nap on the sofa as I just could not keep my eyes open!Woke up with Bessie inside my top! She'd crawled inside!

Tonight we have the Nelson Mandela concert from Hyde Park London ( For his 90th Birthday)so thats from 9pm on TV, Lets hope I stay awake long enough to see it!
Tomorrow will be visiting with mark, Chloe and Leah, YEAH!!!!!!!

Rain, rain go away..........

Wow we have had SOME rainfall today!!!!!!!!!!! So much that it was waterfalling over all the guttering!
I got totally drenched coming home from work and picking Ry up from school, so much that I actually had to wring my skirt out before putting it in the washing machine, It was as if it had been dipped in a bathful of water!
When I got in at 3.45pm, I thought "Sod it" and changed into PJ's! Well I wasn't going back out again in it, so why not be comfy and cosy!

Ryan chose mini cucumber to eat in school today, the whole thing was as big as my finger, how cute is that! I've never seen them that small before!
(( I must explain this wasn't his lunch!! Every day schoolchildren of primary age ( 4-11 years) get one portion of fruit or veg at break time in school, they get a choice of about 4 items of fruit or veg as well as milk to drink.))

Had a good day in work today, handled some real difficult calls very well and was not stressed by them, also had my friend Gill sitting next to me today and we had fun catching up :-) When theres' over 250 people all in one open plan office, with 1/2 hotdesking at one time, getting to sit next to your buddies is pretty rare!She's next to me tomorrow too which I'm thankful for as I'm doing extra hours :-)
Looking forward to this weekend, On Saturday I'm taking Ryan to Mums house as Mark is up visiting with the girls ( Charlie is out with friends) so that'll be cool! Leah is already so excited to be seeing Ry again! :-)

Well best get this little boy in the shower and ready for supper (Crumpets) and bed!

Oh....forgot!!

........ and I also am back on track diet wise and have lost 7lb in 2 weeks :-) ( 2lb last week, 5lb this week!) Well done me!!!!

Superlambanana 0 / Indiana 1

What do they say " Best laid plans get laid to rest...." Well terrential rain non-stop has laid our plans to rest!! But, The day wasn't wasted, we took Ryan to see "Indiana Jones and the kingdom of the Crystal Skull" instead :-)
Ryan loved it, I enjoyed it but thought the original 3 were better. And as old as Indy is, he's still a hottie to me!!!
Saw a trailer for a neat film due out during the summer called "WALL-E" that looks so cute and funny!! Will have to check that out when it opens :-)

I'm about to fix Lasagne for dinner before we all settle down to watch "Doctor Who" together, this was also a ritual when I was Ryans age! "Doctor who" has been popular since well before I was born!

Depending on the forecast may try and catch some of them SLB's tomorrow! Will have to do a rain dance in reverse!

Gearing up for the big hunt!!!

Well tonight I have had my usual lovely night with my Parents :-) And have made plans with them (And Ryan) to go baby superlambanana chasing tomorrow!! Mum has even written a route!! Which will take in 58 of these fabulous beasts!
Wish us luck!!! And get the blister plasters ready!!!

Feeling sick big time :-( No superlambanana's today!

Poorly sick :-(

Today I am feeling real lousy :-( I have a dry sore throat and a gurgling, bubbly tummy :-(
I've been and got some cold and flu remedy so hopefully that will kick in soon, thank Goodness Mum is having Ryan today after school!
I only lasted 4 hours in work :-(
Baby superlambanana just got serious!! My mate John, has just set a challenge! He bet me that he can find ( And get photographic evidence) of 20 babysuperlambanana's! I bet I could do one better and get 21!
On Saturday I plan to goto town (Liverpool City Cebtre) as theres loads there, we're also planning on going to see the new Indiana Jones film at the cinema in town too :-) All good fun!!

Hope you don't catch this bug from me!!!

SUPERLAMBANANA MAD!!!!!!!!!!!!

OK this is a link to our famous Superlambanana page!! Superlambanana has been part of Liverpool for years now, some love it, some hate it, but its' famous, and a talking point!
Because 2008 is Liverpools' Capital of Culture year, there are 119 "baby" superlambanana's all over Liverpool for 10 weeks! They arrived today and we spotted our first one, Just a 5 minute walk away, next to our local church! Hope to spot more soon!

Bleurgh!

Had a bit of a bleurgh weekend to be honest, dunno whats' up! I've got PMT and I'm dieting so maybe thats' why.
Had a good sort out yesterday and changed the living room round a little, Did loads of ironing and played with Ryan on his new Indiana Jones xbox game (I love it!!!) weather was pretty rubbish so couldn't go out anywhere for fear of drowning!
Today Ryan went out to Franks' sisters for the afternoon, caught up on a letter and watched the film "Beowulf" not that impressed with it, not my type of film really.
Looking forward to tonights TV, Big Brother of course, Gordon Ramsey is on Graham Norton too :-) ( Yippee!!)
Am absolutely skint after the holiday, think thats whats' getting me down most of all, am literally penniless this month apart from covering my bus fare to and from work. Ah well, holiday was worth it :-)
Been back on weightwatchers diet for 3 days and have lost 2lb at todays weigh in :-)Better than nothing huh!
Going to get weighed on Sunday mornings.
Mum and Dad are back from Turkey, they had a brilliant time! And my best friend Carmel, is currently at the same site in Hayle, Cornwall, that we were at last week! I'm sooo Jealous!!
Maybe time to get my Marilyn cross stitch back out, needs to keep my hands busy so I don't eat!
Happy fathers day Frank! He's already drank the 2 bottles of his favourite red wine Ryan gave him yesterday! He also got Adidas smellies which he likes and a fab Indiana Jones card!

Save the day!!

Yes! I saved it!! Went to Mum and Dads and the bonsai is fine! He's happily sitting in water now and hadn't so much as shed a leaf!
Ryan bought the New "Lego indiana jones" Xbox game today, he's hooked already! He loves the Lego star wars games and this one is great too, so clever the way they do it!
Really looking forward to the weekend :-) Feel like I'm back in the swing of things, and all sorted and returned to normal after the holiday, that was a huge ironing marathon I got through. Looking forward to a bit of a lie in rather than my 5.30am alarm going off!
Well off to write a letter :-)

Good day :-)

Pretty boring but today I've had a good day :-)
Work was good, felt a real sense of achievement dealing with a new type of work,coped really well, much better than expected :-)
Did quite a lot of housework/ironing etc as well as dinner & packed lunches for tomorrow, dunno why I feel so good, just got a lot of little jobs out of the way and feel on top of things for a change!
Ryan went on a school trip today, to the National Wildflower centre, had a great time and not only learned all about the flora and fauna but also the children took part in a cultural Indian dance workshop.
As usual hooked to the new series of Big brother, have just read a real good chick lit book and am currently reading "Grumpy old women" which is a scream!!! And soooooo true!!!
Have one blot on the horizon though, Dad texted me on Sunday from Turkey asking if I could goto their house as he has forgot to put his bonsai in water, as I don't drive and am in work, then picking up Ryan from school then making dinner etc, havent had a chance to go, just hope the bonsai holds out until Friday!! H E L P !!!!!!!!!!
