Speke Hall
We had a fantastic afternopon at Speke Hall. We had a guided "roof" tour which was amazing, learned a lot of "behind the scenes" stuff. Unfortunatly due to all the original furniture, wall coverings etc there is no photography permitted inside the hall.Wonderful day stepping back in time :-)

Scuppered!!!!!!!
My best laid plans are now laid to rest!!!
I have RSI :-( AGAIN!!!
I suffered RSI about 18 months ago, with my middle finger right hand, no jokes please!! My finger was stuck rigid, in a very embarrassing rude gesture!! for 6 months!
Yesterday in work, my thumb started niggling when I was using my mouse, and even picking up a cup or plate was causing me problems. My hand is very weak, grip very poor and my thumb is aching at the joint and pulling up my forearm.I can't hold a pencil, my grip is that bad :-(
I saw the doctor, explained I did not want any more time off work, so he has given me a letter to hand to my manager stating I can't use my right hand at all, but to do lighter duties with my left hand.
I'm still going to try and sew, but only for very, very short bursts.
Also booked in for Blood tests tomorrow, and PAP next Friday. May as well get the lot done at once huh!!
Tomorrow Frank and I are taking Ryan to see "Star Wars- The Clone Wars" on the Cinema :-) He's so excited!!
Then on Saturday I'm having a girlie day with my Mum. We're heading off to "Speke Hall", beautiful Tudor mansion, all black and white beams. We're booked in for a "Roof tour" at 3pm, this is an hour long tour, for just 4 people at a time, the guide explains all about the servant quarters, how the house was run, etc etc. Should be real interesting to step back in time :-)
Best shoot, I shouldn't really be typiing should I !! Can feel it straining my wrist already :-(
Bloody typical!!
:-)
I'm a walking disaster zone!!
hee hee!
This is as far as I got yesterday!

Hollywood Bowl
Today we took Ryan bowling for the first time! We had an absolute ball!! :-)
He had "gates" up when it was his turn to prevent the ball rolling into the gutters, but did so well for his first time! And score wise, wasn't that far behind Mum and Dad!!
Its very hard to tell in the photographs, as I've had to enhance them, but it was really dark in there, and all the lanes has flashing lights and all the pins were lit. It was so cool!
We had a few games of pool too.
Great afternoon! We were all buzzing when we came out! ( Incidently, this is the same bowling alley Frank and I came to on our first date 11 1/2 years ago! We saw a film first, then popped next door to the bowling Alley to play pool and have a drink.)
Good times :-)

Sunday/SLB's
Well sadly, our relatives have gone :-( It was so upsetting saying goodbye, We have all had a wonderful week for many different reasons.
Friday night was wonderful! We all ate take out food together then after dinner Frank came to pick Ryan up as it was getting late, and we had our usual Friday night!! We don't usually have gatecrashers, but it was a pleasure to be watching Big Brother with my close relatives and I was even massaging my cousin Shans' back (She suffers with her back). They said they are real jealous of our Friday nights now they know what we do!
The men brought us cake and coffee! :-)
Saturday we didn't get to go out with them, Frank and I took Ryan shopping for School shoes. Just popped in to say goodbye on our way home, which was very emotional. What we have all felt this week, is that, looking through someone elses eyes, Liverpool aint all that bad. I always tend to dog down Liverpool, but this week it did us proud :-)
"SUPERSTEGBANANA"
Today we went over to a park in Birkenhead and a few other places on the Wirral to spot SLB's. Its' the last day of the SLB's tomorrow before they get taken away and auctioned off. We've loved having them, and they certainly brightened our otherwise dull and rainy summer! We have also discovered (And rediscovered in some cases) lots of parts of Liverpool that otherwise we wouldn't know existed. And enjoyed parts that we haven't been to in a while like the Museum and Art Galleries.
So a big Thank you to all of our 125 little Lamby friends, even though we've only managed to meet 116 of you!!
..xx..
Auntie Norma bought this T-shirt for Ryan, and the Fridge Magnet for Me :-)
Tomorrow is Bank Holiday Monday. No Work Yippee!!
This is Ryans last full week off, he returns to school September 2nd.

I've been seeing a lot of my Weymouth relatives over the last few days so haven't been blogging that much! Hope to have a good photo session tomorrow!
Today they came to my house, it was lovely to welcome them, although I was a little nervous as our house is small, and I get embarrassed about it.
They took Ryan to EFC and LFC ( Everton Football club) ( Liverpool Football Club) and took the museum tour of LFC. Ryan was spoiled! There wasn't enough room in the car for me to go too :-(
Tomorrow we are spending all afternoon together, then after a big dinner together, frank will pick up Ryan and bring him home, and I will remain and we will all watch Big Brother and have a huge "Tickle" !!Cool!!! hee hee!
Have fun whatever you're doing this weekend :-)

Family
Ok so this is my "Weymouth" family!! My Auntie Norma (Blue striped top), her daughter and my first cousin Shan, and Shans' son, my 2nd cousin, Lorenzo. We had a fantastic time with them on Sunday evening in Mums catching up. Then Yesterday afternoon, Ryan and I met them in Liverpool City Centre and gave them a guided tour!
Auntie Norma was born and raised in Liverpool and worked in a record shop in town when the Beatles were in their Heyday! She has exciting tales to tell! She moved to Weymouth with Shan (Then 6 years old) in 1968. So Auntie Norma and Shan are true Scousers!
Mum is taking them to the Cathedral today to see Grandads' Name ( Auntie Norma's Dad)

Thanks Mum!
We now have 94!!!
Thanks Mum for the lift. Had a lovely day today, worked Until 2pm, got an excellent report from my manager in work ( I'm still getting over the shock!) then Mum blackmailed me into the lamb hunt!
She would take me to see some lambs if I cooked my shepherds pie for dinner! We both kept up our ends of the bargain!
After dinner we watched Big Brother while taking turns to "Tickle" each others backs! Bliss!
We made Dad our slave!!firstly made him peel carrots and potatoes, then grate carrots and an onion, wash the dishes and finally bring us coffee whilst we were watching TV. Naughty huh!
I love my Friday nights at Mum and dads!

Uh Oh!
Well today was good and bad!
Ryan went to trampolining, and loved it, and was great! Enjoyed doing seat drops and turns and attempting tucks! He was so hyped about this!!
U N T I L .............
the guy in the sports club had a word with Frank, and due to health and safety laws or something, the kids clubs and associated activities (ie. trampoline club) are only available to children aged 8-13.
We had a very upset and sulky 7 year old on our hands all afternoon!he just keeps saying "Its not fair" and in a way, I agree! Its' not! especially as he's attended 2 sessions and has had a taste of it!
:-(
On a brighter note, we have visitors this weekend! My Auntie Noram, Cousin Shan and second cousin Lorenzo are all coming to visit for a week from Sunny Weymouth! Although Auntie Norma and Shan are from Liverpool Originally, they've lived in Weymouth for about 30 years with the odd rare visit back home. They are so excited to be coming back to "The Pool" We can't wait to show them round! Auntie Norma has always been my very favourite Auntie, and I know she feels the same about me :-) She's my Dads older sister and its' funny to see her Bullying him! hee hee!
I am excited already, so much, I have butterflies!

Kids club and Stuff!
OK so I've been a bit of a lazy blogger this week!
It' allowed, especially when I'm in work ( AKA The temple of doom) and have to get up at 5.30am!
Yesterday I visited my old friend Jackie, by old I mean the friendship not Jackie, well she's 40 this year so make your own minds up!!
We had a brilliant night, we don't meet up that often, but when we do, its' like we saw each other yesterday, like putting on a pair of really really comfy slippers!
We ate pizza and wedges and spent the whole night laughing and talking until we were practically hoarse!
She also gave me my Birthday presents!! We've not met since before April! hee hee! We both like "Stuff" things. "Stuff" things refer to dinky, tiny, weeny little things that are usually labelled as minature, or we just think are cute! Jackie and I were well known for this common affliction when we worked together! We were the "Stuff hunters"!
So for my birthday I got silver earrings, posh dusted truffles, 2 stuff lip balms from New York and a stuff mickey mouse cup and saucer from New York too. Just to show you what I mean here is the cup and saucer. My silly thumb is in it as a size guide only!
So we had a real good time :-)
Today I worked until 2pm, when I got in Frank was alone, no Ryan! It seems they had been swimming to our local pool ( Its free for all kids all summer) and when they were coming out they saw Jordan, Ryans friend ( the nice one, not the knife weilding 5 year old!) Jordan was going the the kids club they have in the leisure centre, so Frank enrolled him there and then! Its 1-3pm Mon, Tues, Fri during the holidays and they do all kids of sports, crafts, games, picnics etc etc! With Ryan being an only child this is a great opportunity for him to be playing with other kids! So today he played football (Soccer Krystal!) rounders, baseball and some other game involving bean bags and legs! ( can't quite get to the bottom of this yet!) He had such a good time and is BEGGING to go back again on Friday( they do trampolining on Fridays!) Its' all free and part of Liverpools' healthy kids programme. How cool is that!
Am just going to iron a little tonight whilst watching Tv, and have an early night. I deserve it!
Off for a cuppa! ...xxx....

Rhyl
Today we had a lovely day out in Rhyl :-)
Ryan went on the little fair, loved the inflatable slide! We lost count of how much money we lost playing on the 2p falls machines!!
We ate KFC (YUM!!) and stolled on the beach before taking Ryan to the playground and looking round all the shops :-) And finally spending an hour in "Captain Noah's indoor playcentre"
Brill day out!
And Ryan just loved all the Welsh translations on all the signs!!

Super SLB day!
Yesterday Ryan and I had a fantastic day in town! We had fun hopping on and off trains at the different stations around town and managed to bag 16 more lambanana's!!
We also got the original Superlambanana that started all this,He's HUGE compared to all the babaies! He's been standing here in Liverpool for the last 10 years and is a well know symbol of the city along with the world famous Liver Birds that Grace our Liver buildings.
Ryan was also delighted to get his "Clone Trooper" costume yesterday in town! He is absolutly thrilled with it and hasn't taken it off yet!!

Drawing
Ryan absolutly loves drawing! He constantly draws everything under the sun! Here he is drawing flags, ready for the Olympics, must admit this was a blessed relief as its' usually erupting volcano's or tornado's blasting houses apart! What is it with boys and gruesome imaginations!!

Just messing about!
Ryan and I were being silly today messing with the camera! Ended up making each other laugh so much that the "Shoot" had to be abandoned!

Today Ryan and I got the train into town to get some more Lambanana's we were going to wait until the rain cleared, but its' forecast rain all week so we went anyhow, and got wet, very wet!! Had fun hopping on and off trains though!
Came home to the chicken and veg soup bubbling away ready for dinner! Bliss!!
Despite the rain we had a real fun day!

Happy as can be!
Don't even know why! hee hee! feeling very blessed today, Ryan is an angel, sun is shining, I've scored the house, Cooked a roast dinner, Making chicken soup for tomnorrow with the leftovers in the crock... Life is good!!
And of course no work!
Well at least for a week :-)
Had a lie in until 8.30am ( unheard of for me!! the weekend sapped me!) then got up with Ryan and got ready far more leisurely than usual! Popped to the Strand for fish food, A cat loo (Yes thats right!) and a star wars Clone trouper costume for Ryan. Yes to fish food and cat loo, no to costume :-( I've rang the other stores in Liverpool and they're not in there either, I guess we'll have to be patient! Which is vv hard with a 7 year old Star Wars fanatic who will pester me every day from now on until he has it!
Just wanted to share some more pics, this is our Mark, tormenting the kids on the trampoline, he'd bounce hard every time they got their balance, and knock them flying! Then a full on wrestling match ensued!
