Today was Nans' Birthday, I only wish I live to be as old :-) Can you believe she is still making greetings cards at 93!!
Work was not so bad, the early starts are starting to drag but at least the day is over early and I can go home. Went to pick Ryan up from school, and upon returning to our Road we discovered a bouncy castle at the end! Turns out it was Emilys' 4th Birthday, Emily lives with her grandparents at number 12 and they had hired the castle for all of the children in the street to enjoy.
Ryan was changed out of his school uniform in a flash! Straight outside, and apart from the time he did a backward roll straight off the castle onto the gritty road and bashed his head, we didn't see him all afternoon and evening! Of course we kept an eye on proceedings at all times, but he didn't give us a 2nd thought! He had buffet party food and won a bow and arrow set ( With no point on the arrows, just suckers!) during "Pass the Parcel", he had a fabulous time!!! His friend from the next road, Liam also came round so they were inseparable. I would prefer him to play with Mia from next door as they have been close friends for years now, However, the divide between the sexes is getting clearer, he is frustrated because she wants to play Barbies, or Mums and Dads, and she refuses to play "Star Wars" or "Ben 10" with him!
Such is life!! hee hee! Its' real cute to hear them arguing though!
So Frank and I had quite a relaxed evening, ordered chinese food, and watched a film together "National Treasure", Ryan was supposed to watch it too but was too busy with the Bow and arrow!
Boys toys huh!!
